Dusky dolphin
(Lagaenorhynchus obscurus)
Relatively small, at only 2m in length they are also one of the friendlier and more acrobatic of dolphins. We often see them in southern parts of New Zealand from Marlborough Sounds where this picture was taken, and Kaikoura to Fiordland.
