New Zealand
A country of islands
New Zealand is a long archipelago, three main islands (North,
South and Stewart) and hundreds of smaller offshore islands,
all outcrops rising above the sea from an extensive continental
shelf, like a vast submarine continent. Land uplifted high
- Aotearoa, land of the long white cloud.
Every island has it's own special characteristics.
The islands we visit are:
- North Island
- Great Barrier Island
- Tiritiri Matangi
- South Island
- Motuara, Marlborough Sounds
- Stewart Island
- Subantarctic Islands
