Fossils
Chris’s fossil reconstruction work includes:
- University of Otago Geology Museum – a nine-month collaborative project with Assoc. Prof Ewan Fordyce preparing reconstruction artwork for key fossils from the Geology Museum’s collection.
- Otago Museum –– a separate contract to the exhibit design, Chris was invited to produce reconstruction artwork of fossils (including dinosaurs, mososaurs, ancient penguins and whales), archaeological sites and even early Maori rock art.
- DOC Russell Visitor Centre – Chris provided a set of paintings depicting extinct birds for the audio visual display
- Royal Society Grant for work on Thailand’s giant fossil ‘clams’ (Alatoconchids) – see Chris’s report on Kiwi Wildlife http://www.kiwi-wildlife.co.nz/Docs/Thailand_2004.pdf
